Anyone with eyes, ears and the ability to understand language knows what feminism is. What you don’t usually hear people say is, “feminism is funny”.

This writer, however, begins a story about feminism in that very way:

Feminism is funny.

At my university, the feminists were known to be a little touchy and humorless about the word ‘women’, as it had the evil word ‘men’ in it. They preferred ‘womyn’.

There was a joke that went, ‘How many Brown women does it take to screw in a lightbulb?’ Answer: ‘It’s ‘womyn’… and that’s not funny!’

The father of one of my classmates caught wind of this and came up with his solution: women has ‘men’ in it, so change that to ‘woperson’. This has ’son’ in it, so change that to ‘woperdaughter’.

…classic political correctness taken to a funny extreme.

I told my wife about this quote, and she responded, “you notice I’m not laughing.”

On the whole, I appreciate anyone willing to stick their neck out and be obnoxious. But I have to say I’m not in agreement with the above writer; in fact, I’m a guy who’s in favor of feminism.

This world would be a hell of a lot nicer place if men didn’t run around acting like we run it.
